Assignment 2 - Task 4: Analysing the track

The track that I am using is by Madison Beer and it is called 'Unbreakable' the song is approximately 4 minutes long and it is upbeat and slower in places. This song contains three chorus's and these are repeated in different parts of the song. There are 3 verses and are sung before the chorus, these change every time a new verse in sung. In this song she is showing problems that many people go through or things that people may have that are significant to them. She then tells people that it is good to be different because with help from each other they are all unbreakable.

In the first verse she begins by saying 'Do you feel like you just cant take no more' at this point she is sitting by herself with her head in her hand and a balloon in the other hand saying 'who am I'. She uses this as a way of showing that this is sometimes how many people feel and then the camera gets a close up of the balloon. She then shows two girls with balloons in their hands showing what they think is wrong with them. She then says 'broken heart, all the pieces on the floor' at this point she shows a girl walking past the other girls with her balloon saying 'help me'. In this particular part it look like she is trying to show that the girl is to scared to ask for help.

In the chorus she uses the same words for each time and she mentions the word 'were gonna run through fire like we've never been burned'. This is significant as it is showing that even if there have been problems in the past it is easy for everyone to overcome these issues. Throughout the whole of the chorus she is trying to show to everyone that it is possible to receive help. She also is trying to show in the chorus that everyone can put things behind them and move on with there lives. In the chorus she also says quite a few times 'were unbreakable' she is trying to tell everyone that they can be strong and that no one will be able to break them if they are able to keep strong. In each chorus every word is kept the same to show that no many times everyone wants to disbelieve that this is possible it is a repetitive things and everyone is able to fight through things.

In the second chorus she is trying to point out that even if there people that you do not know you can always find help in anyway you come across. In the second verse the second line says 'in a crowd try'na stand out, try'na glow'. This particular line is significant as it is trying to say that you are not the only one trying to stand out but their is a crowd full of people trying to stand out with you. In this verse she also mention that 'its like your in the dark'. In the part they are trying to show that even though people try to stand out it is always like they are being left in the dark.

In the third and final verse Madison Beer continuously repeats the same lines except for changing a few words in some of the lines. The line that she repeats is 'I am me, there's nothing that can break me, nothing that can break me'. She is trying to show that there is nothing that can stop you from being you. She also repeats this as a way of showing that someone shouldn't try to change themselves because there is nothing wrong with them and they should love themselves. She is also trying to say that you shouldn't be afraid to be you because if your strong enough nothing can hurt you.
