Task three - understanding the techniques of a music video

Editing to the beat:

To edit this video, the first thing that id did was using the marker to mark specific beats on the timeline. Then i found clips that looked like they would match up with this music and cut them together to form a smooth flowing. To layer the clips together i needed to put two or three clips on top of one another and crop them to make them fit onto one screen. When these clips were played they would all play at the same time to show all these different things happening in the video. I used a chromakeyer to show the colour of the car in the final clip, i used this to emphasis the words as the end of the music was playing.

I had to make sure that when i was trying to put a few different clips onto one screen i had cropped them enough so that they were all different. I made the clips come up at different times and then go off until their was only one clip left on the screen.
In the video i used dissolves to make the video look like it was one continuous video. I also used cross fades and this helped all of the different layers fade together. When i was editing my video i put a number of different clips onto  one screen in smaller boxes to make them appear on the screen at the same time.

In the video i tried to make the colour stand out by layer one clip on top of another, i then turn't one black and white and focused on one colour to stand out. In this particular video i made the red in the car stand out. I also had to make sure that the clips were the same so that i could successfully change the colour to focus on one particular colour.

In the final video i had to make sure that all of the clips were cropped short enough so that their were not any bumps throughout the clip. I also had to make sure that their were no black screen in-between the clips and all of the space was filled. I also had to make sure that the music was cut in the correct spaces so that the music went off slightly after the screen had finished.
