Assignment 2 - Task 5: Pre-production panning

Proposal
Prepared by
Kayley Prue

I am making a music video based on the song ‘Unbreakable’ by Madison Beer. I am going to make my own version of this video to go with the song, and I am going to aim to produce a video that will be attractive to teenagers. The video will contain a single women dancing and my own version of trying to explain what the song is about through the video. In this video I will try and show what the song is about through the video, and make the video interesting.

I will be filming this in the street where I will be able to make it expressive to what the song is about. The person in the video will be dancing and singing through the street. The video will express the different feelings throughout the song, and will show the full meaning behind the song. I will try to make the video upbeat and interesting for viewers, and will make the performer in the video dress the way that the feelings in the video would make her look.

There will be many different shots in the video to make the video interesting, and the performer in the video be seen in different parts of the same place. This will make the video more interesting and there will also be changes in the mood and facial expressions of the performer.

Explanation of location and key points to note:
This will be filmed in the street so there will not be any costs. This will be filmed in an open space where there may be many people; I may have to get permission from these people to use the footage.

Access to location via:
There is permanent access to location as the location is an open space and it does not matter what time it is used.

Name and number of location contact:
London town centre
Health and Safety Issues to note:

I need to make sure that my equipment is not in the way and make sure that no harm can come other people around me.
Potential Filming Problems:

I may have to get permission from people of the public if they appear in my music video.
Some of the equipment may pack up and there will be nowhere to fix it in the location.
Additional Notes:  (map of area/weather forecast etc.)
I need to make sure that I have full charge on my camera equipment and make sure that if there are potential hazards of breakage that I keep away from that particular place.

I need to make sure that I know exactly where I am going to film my video and need to stay in that place throughout the whole of my filming.

Contingency Plan
Name: Kayley Prue

Production: Teddy bear climbing into bed.

Potential problems and how to overcome these problems:

Some potential problems may be that there could be risk of equipment breaking due to being in a rather popular place. To overcome this problem I have to make sure that I go somewhere where there is not a really large amount of people.

Another potential problem could be permission, if there is footage of someone in my video and I do not have his or her permission to use that footage then I may have to re film. To overcome this problem I will have to make sure that I get permission from these people.

Another problem could be that the equipment may run out of battery if I have been filming for a large period of time. The way of overcoming this could be to take a spare fully charge battery or take a break and charge the equipment.
